E. M. Gilliam Memorial Public Library

The Friends of the Gilliam Memorial Public Library

Help us to better serve you, your children, the City of Wilmer, and its neighbors.

About the Friends of the Library

We are a non-profit 501 (C)(3) organization which will support the programs, services and future planning of the E.M. Gilliam Memorial Public Library.

We specifically support, assist, and promote library activities and help fund the Summer Reading Program and other presentation such as the Chautauqua Lectures, quest authors and special speakers, puppet programs and book fairs, etc.

We support, with our volunteers, the City of Wilmer events such as Pioneer Days and other citywide cultural and entertainment events.

Current Project

The Friends of the Library is currently supplementing the generous donation made my a former resident, which is the seed money to grow the library by adding a Children's and Youth Addition to the existing library.

Meetings

Meetings are held the 2nd Thursday of every month at the library at 6:00 pm.
